Needs Assessment
Through needs assessment surveys, literature searches, advisory board suggestions, and recent specialty publications, ImproMED has identified that a need exists to educate ophthalmologists on glaucoma detection, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. With more than 7 million visits to physicians in the United States alone each year due to glaucoma, there is a significant need to provide comprehensive education to physicians who detect, diagnose, and treat this disease.

Target Audience
General ophthalmologists. Secondary audience: ophthalmic residents and primary care physicians who refer patients with symptoms of glaucoma to ophthalmologists.

Overall Purpose
The purpose of this activity is to provide ophthalmologists an understanding of a range of general glaucoma subjects, with a focus on recent advances in the field.

Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this CME activity, participants should have increased overall skills, knowledge, attitudes, and performance, with a specific ability to:

Differentiate between the various types of glaucoma
